First staged in 1950, the Carrera Panamericana was a notoriously dangerous and grueling 3,000-kilometer race across Mexico. During five adrenaline-packed days, drivers sped through all kinds of terrains with their speedometers averaging 150 km/h. The race ended in 1954, but its legacy has lived on through the Carrera collection since Jack Heuer gave its name to the iconic chronograph in 1963.
