Minerva was found in 1858 by Charles-Yvan Robert and Hyppolite Robert in Villeret. The brand name Minerva, however, was not trademarked until 1886. Minerva established themselves as a “manufacturer” of watches, a watchmaker that designed and manufactured the most critical mechanical calibers and finely finished chronograph movements in their workshops. Unlike no other chronograph with an extra two push buttons on the side, this timepiece is set/reset with only one push button located on the crown, allowing it to reset to zero and immediately start again with a single push.
