Patek Philippe is known for their long history of making Perpetual Calendar chronograph watches as early as the 1940s. In 2004, Patek Philippe released their best “Grand Complications” reference 5970; however, it only lasted six years, which was their shortest production for the “Grand Complications” model.
In fact, Patek Philippe first produced in white gold with a matching white dial. The white dial is meant to balance the black hands and numerals. The 5970 remains one of Patek Philippe?s most respected and most sought-after references to date.
