The Constellation is named after the representation displayed on the caseback, an observatory showing eight stars above. The eight stars symbolize two chronometer records, and six first place awards Omega earned between 1933 and 1952. Since 1952, the Omega Constellation has seen many variations. The present Constellation today is in red gold, featuring a silver diamond dial and topped with a diamond-encrusted Roman numeral bezel.
