The Rolex Datejust 1603 was released in 1959 and continued production for nearly two decades until retirement in the late 1970s. Typically, the Oyster case and Fluted bezel attached to a Jubilee bracelet is the iconic trio many can easily identify as the Datejust. However, the 1603 stands out with the engine-turned bezel. The engine-turned bezel is only found on this reference. Complimented by a silver “Wide Boy,” dial. A wider hour hand and wider minute hand.
