This Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro Doernbecher was created in 2010 by Cole Johanson of the OHSU Doernbecher Children?s Hospital. This sneaker, like all Doernbecher releases, features a multitude of symbols and designs chosen by a select patient of the OHSU Doernbecher Children?s Hospital. Dressed in a red upper with black accents throughout, the shoe is immediately identifiable. Unique to this pair is the red elephant print on the toe box.
The words “COURAGE” and “STRENGTH” are found on the insoles, and the diamond pattern on the lateral panels spells COLE. This pair was so popular that a retro pair was released in 2013.
