In conjunction with the Doernbecher Foundation, this Jordan 6 was designed by patient Jordan Dark and proved to be one of the most successful Doernbecher designs. Dressed in a blue suede upper with embossed details and an embroidered number one at the heel, the pair sits atop a red and blue midsole with a translucent outsole. The pair has a red tongue and heel tab, with golden accents.
There are special details featured throughout such as the start and end dates of Dark?s treatment embossed into the suede, and the phrases “WHAT TIME IS IT?” and “GAME TIME” on the left and right tongue tabs, respectively.
The original 2009 design was so popular that the Jordan brand revisited the design in 2019 as a part of the Doernbecher 15th Anniversary Series.
