Nike collaborated with the infamous Japanese luxury fashion brand Sacai to create a hybrid of the Nike LDV and Waffle Racer. The shoe debuted during the Sacai Spring 2019 runway show in Paris and stays true to the brand’s vision of creating unique and timeless fashion. The Sacai x LD Waffle “Varsity Blue” features a blue nylon upper with suede and leather accents in red, yellow and silver. The shoes have double stacked Nike Swooshes, tongues, overlays and laces. The mid panel and toe are constructed of a breathable blue mesh, while an extended white outsole sits between a black suede heel cup and black outsole. To complete the look, a double stacked Nike x Sacai logo is printed on the silver heel tab. This shoe was released in May 2019.
