This 2020 Nike SB Dunk Low Pro was released in collaboration with atmos, the famous Japanese sneaker store. The design draws inspiration from atmos? highly coveted Air Max 1, one of the most sought-after sneakers from 2007. The Air Max 1 “Atmos Elephant” was released in 2006 and per consumer request, was reissued in 2017. This SB Dunk Low showcases familiar design details as the original collaboration.
The upper consists of a black suede on the quarter panel contrasted with grey elephant print on the forefoot and heel, and a white toe box. The Swoosh and Nike branding at the heel tab and tongue tag are emphasized in Clear Jade.
The Nike SB Dunk made its formal debut in 2002, when Nike reappropriated the famed 1980s Dunk basketball sneaker with upgrades suited for the skateboarding community. The man behind it, former Nike executive Sandy Boedecker, is credited with building one of Nike?s most beloved subdivisions in the early 2000s with the Nike SB line.
