The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x FTC ?Lagoon Pulse? was created in honor of the Tokyo 2021 Summer Olympics. The sneaker was a collaboration between Nike and FTC, a skate shop located in San Francisco?s historic Haight district. FTC takes design inspiration from the traditional Japanese sento bathhouses. The bathhouses date back hundreds of years and are offered as spaces to escape from society and immerse into tradition.
The upper consists of a light blue suede with white leather overlays in a brick-like texture. The design features a metallic silver Swoosh, and light blue embroidered ?FTC? branding on the heel tab and tongue tag. The sneaker is lined with bright yellow terry cloth that is visible along the top liner, and the insoles feature a graphic of Mount Fuji. The look is completed with an icy translucent outsole and bright enamel detailing. The sneaker comes with blue laces in addition to white.
