The Nike SB Dunk Low ?Vietnam? celebrates a 25-year partnership between Nike and Ching Luh, one of the world’s largest footwear producers.
The shoe upper uses red nubuck overlays with white leather panels found on the toe box and middle lateral panel. The colorway is inspired by the Vietnamese flag and uses a triple stack Swoosh of black, red and yellow. The yellow and red colorway is also used for the midsole and outer sole. The collaboration debuted a commemorative ?Nike 25? logo which can be found on the toe box and tongue tags. These shoes have a myriad of other subtle design nods, such as the star found on the heel tab of the right shoe, insoles that read ?Win As A Team? and ?Ching Luh? on the right tongue tag, and ?1995-2020? on the left tongue tag. Lastly, this is a promotional pair, giving it an additional layer of meta-commentary on the sneaker design process, and making this pair rarer than most.
