Roamer was founded by Frits Meyer in Solothurn, Switzerland, in 1888. Roamer originally focused on manufacturing cylinder escapements with six employees. During the first seven years, Roamer had grown and employed 60 people to produce complete watches. In 1895, the company celebrated its very first successfully created movement named “Number 38.” Roamer movements developed an excellent reputation for their high precision and reliability.
Honest Vintage: The Greg Selch Collection
A native New Yorker from a family of connoisseurs, Greg Selch has collected watches for over 20 years, among many other things. Over the years, Selch has become well-known for his passion: ?orphan watches? as well as well-worn watches with patina, for which a term has been created: #selchism.
