The Tudor 7016 Submariner was released in 1969 as the successor to the 7928. The 7016 saw several upgrades aesthetically and in performance. Tudor powered the 7016 with an ETA movement, adopting cal. 2483 with 25 jewels instead of cal. 390 with 17 jewels in the prior model 7928. Subsequently, the dial was changed to the classic ?Snowflake? design with square markers and square hands.
