    Description

    Girard-Perregaux is a luxury Swiss watch manufacture with its origins dating back to 1791. Headquartered in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the company opened the Girard-Perregaux Museum near its headquarters in Villa Marguerite in 1999. It is best known for the historic Tourbillon with three gold bridges, which was awarded a gold medal at the 1889 International Exposition in Paris soon after the launch of the watch. Other notable models from the company include the collection 1966, Vintage 1945, and models such as Tri-Axial Tourbillon and Laureato, an icon inspired from the 1970s.

    This vintage 1945 reference 2594 is a stainless steel automatic wristwatch, circa 2000, with stainless steel case and bracelet with deployment clasp. Rectangular art deco-style curved two-body case, pyramid lugs and flat curved bezel are polished, diameter in 28×43 mm. The dial is silver with applied polished steel Arabic numeral hour markers around a rectangular railway-style 60-minute scale with red Arabic numerals every fifteen seconds. It has polished faceted sword hands and square railway-style subsidiary small running seconds dial at 6 o’clock with a recessed circular center. Water resistant approximately 30 meters/100. Power reserve approximately 48 hours. Mechanical automatic self-winding Girard-Perregaux caliber 3200 movement, with 32 jewels. This watch comes with box only.
