A fabulous vintage pair of tutti frutti-style earrings later hallmarked white gold. Tutti frutti-style jewellery was popularized by Cartier in the early twentieth century and used carved jewels from India. The name ?tutti frutti? means ?all fruits? and points to the fruit-like appearance of the carved gemstones. This pair of earrings features carved sapphires, emeralds and rubies, set within a geometric frame of glittering diamonds. Recently, tutti frutti jewellery has been worn by Queen M?xima of the Netherlands.
